Chemistry Tutor & Co-founder
Juine Tan (Mrs Tong)
Master of Science (Chemistry) - NUS
Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) - NUS
>20 Years of tutoring experience.
Juine co-founded Physics and Chemistry Studio because she enjoys simplifying concepts, making it easy for students to understand. She is happy to help students achieve their full potential because it gives them confidence in life and the entry ticket to future courses they wish to pursue.
Learning the right techniques to approach a problem and get to the answer is more important than the actual answer.

Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) - NUS
Master of Science (Applied Economics) - SMU
Daniel started tutoring in 2010 and founded Physics and Chemistry Studio in 2017 with the aim of teaching proper study and examination skills to students (as opposed to shortcuts).
Core Philosophy:
HOW TO LEARN is as important as WHAT TO LEARN: Many students have been well trained to memorise content from young, as it is the fastest way to score well in exams at earlier stages. This does not work as well in high levels of education or at work. My goal is to teach students how to properly structure their learning, using visualisation tools and reinforcement techniques. When done correctly, this naturally leads to good grades.
Encouraging Students’ Natural Curiosity: Physics is a fascinating subject because it involves the search for answers on how the universe works. Students are naturally curious about this, but often the need to score well in exams early on crushes this curiosity. I use in-class demonstrations, story-telling and other methods to encourage students to think deeply about the concepts being taught.
